Use and maintenance of tires

(1) Safe storage  

All tires should be stored in cool, dry and dark rooms, away from sunlight, oil, acids, and hydrocarbons, which can eat away at them.  Due to pressurization, fluid may pass through the inner airtight layer of the tire and enter the tire body layer, which can cause sudden tire damage.  

(2) Tire maintenance  

Timely transposition of tires, the selection of appropriate patterns, daily maintenance, regular inspection of tire pressure, timely repair after damage and frequent digging out of the tread of stones, foreign bodies, etc., are important factors to prolong the life of tires.  Tire after a period of time after use, the road camber, brake and the influence of different factors such as tire assembly position, would lead to tread wear have great difference, therefore, must be timely switch assembly, make each tire can take turns in every position, each tire is obtained on the load is roughly same, to solve the problem of tire eccentric wear and prolong service life.  Tire transposition is commonly used by the method of "cross transposition" and "cycle transposition" two.  When old and new tires are mixed, when the new tire is better, the new tire or the better tire is fixed in the front wheel, the old tire or the refurbished tire is fixed in the rear wheel, and the left and right transposition, and the inside and outside transposition are adopted.  When the original rolling direction is changed after the transposition, the tire should be reversed adjustment (namely the replacement of loading position, rolling direction), which is to reduce and eliminate tire partial wear chamfering and shoulder unilateral fatigue excessive measures, but also a way to extend the service life of tires and improve the refurbishment rate.  

(3) Ensure standard air pressure  

Master the tire inflation standard to ensure that the tire pressure is in the specified value.  Too much or too little tire pressure will increase wear and reduce mileage.  When the tire pressure is lower than the standard value, the tire shoulder wear increases sharply;  When the tire pressure is higher than the standard value, the tire ground area is reduced, the unit pressure is increased, so that the tire tread wear increases, and the tire rigidity increases, so that the wheel is subjected to dynamic load increase, easy to produce tire burst.  The impact is more severe on uneven roads or at high speeds.
